Channel View Guest House - A Georgian beachfront guesthouse with sea views, full English breakfast, and proximity to Weymouth Station

A Georgian guesthouse situated directly on Weymouth Beach, Channel View Guest House offers panoramic views of Weymouth Bay and the Jurassic Coast. The bright dining room overlooks the bay and serves full English breakfasts, along with fruit, cereals, juices, and toast. All rooms include TVs, dressing gowns, hairdryers, and tea/coffee facilities-some feature small coolers for drinks and sea views, while Room 7, on the third floor, has a sloped ceiling and may not suit those with mobility issues. Guests can relax on the outdoor patio or in the shared lounge with a TV. The smoke-free property is a 10-minute walk from Weymouth Station and near landmarks like Weymouth D-Day Port Memorial (0.5 km) and Jurassic Skyline (2 km). Some rooms lack sea views, and the first-floor bedrooms are accessed via 16 carpeted stairs with banisters.

Pros

Beachfront location with direct views of Weymouth Bay and the Jurassic Coast.

Complimentary full English breakfast served daily in the sea-view dining room.

Proximity to Weymouth Station, making it accessible for rail travelers.

Outdoor patio space for guests to relax with drinks.

Smoke-free property with shared lounge and TV area.

Cons

Some rooms lack sea views and may feel compact due to en-suite bathrooms.

No elevator; stairs access all floors, which may challenge guests with limited mobility.

adequate stay with minor drawbacks

good sausagebreakfastsea viewwindowconvenient parkingsmall tvweak wifiineffective heating
The breakfast had good sausages and offered plenty of choice. the room was super clean and cozy. A sea view was visible from my window. i found the on-street parking less than five minutes away to be convenient.
The tv was small, i had trouble seeing it from the bed. the wifi was not strong enough. Netflix was not really an option. the heating did not work properly. The room stayed cold the entire night.
