Family Fun by the Sea

clean pools easy access

I found the grounds very well maintained. The pools were clean. Sunbeds and umbrellas were readily available near the pools and beach, and there were no struggles to find space. The beachfront location was fantastic with easy access from my room, so I really enjoyed that, and , made beach trips simple. I also appreciated that the hotel included beach towels at no extra charge.

I did find that the evening entertainment could be a bit better. I thought it had room for improvement! It was generally fine. I hoped for a higher energy level at times. Some nights were better than others, but it was inconsistent.

I found the restaurants offered a good selection of food. I could eat different kinds of food every day. The buffet had a varied choice, and fresh food was offered frequently. That was a plus. there were options like fish and lamb available often.

a good family getaway

outdoor pool beverage selection

i really enjoyed my stay. the resort has two large outdoor pools, alongside indoor pools (it was nice given the weather). the selection of beverages was ample, including various cocktails, wine, and beer. i found the hotel's proximity to the seashore a definite plus.

while the overall experience was positive, there were times when the restaurant became quite crowded. securing a table could be challenging during peak hours. i think having a staff member to manage seating would greatly improve dining.

The hotel offers immediate beach access, a significant advantage for beach lovers. a short stroll leads to a sister hotel in kalyves, a pleasant change. a bus ride to chania is essential. Taxis are readily available near reception.

the hotel has three main blocks, each with various amenities. there is a main reception, outdoor pool, and well-stocked market. another block offers a large outdoor pool with a kids pool and slides. an indoor pool and play area.

our spacious room comfortably accommodated our family. the rooms were cleaned daily and maintained super clean. the maisonette rooms are a great option, offering views of the sea or pool in the newer blocks.

the staff work hard and. the reception staff (evangelia and elektra) provide personal touches. angelika, who served at the pool bar, was known for her engaging conversations when we ordered drinks.

there is a choice of three restaurants, and i preferred restaurant 3 because it was quieter. the restaurant in the new wing offers a wide variety of freshly cooked food, some prepared right in front of you. breakfast was great (especially the pancakes!).

Mixed Feelings About This Stay

questionable drinks limited options

The hotel did not feel like a true 5-star experience. I found the taste of the alcoholic drinks questionable. It was hard to tell what I was actually drinking. Food choices were disappointing. I expected more options for the price and star rating.
