Smoking on the balcony is not permitted. Is there a security deposit required for a one-night stay?

A security bond of $400.00 is required for a one-night stay. It can be refunded in cash the next day if everything is in order, but a card pre-authorization may take around 14 days to process. Can extra guests sleep on the sofa in the lounge area?
