cute stay by the sea
helpful map excellent communication perfect location
derek greeted me warmly upon arrival and gave me a map with suggestions for places to visit, it was really helpful. suzanne's communication before i arrived about parking and restaurants was great, very thorough. the location is perfect, so close to the station and just across from the beach. i really appreciated the location.
the wi-fi was a little spotty in my room, a bit difficult to stream videos in the evening, but i managed. it was a minor inconvenience overall.

generally positive stay
beach view local ingredients great breakfast small rooms bed size inconvenient layout
the hotel was lovely. my room had a great view over the beach. breakfast was great and it included local ingredients. i will definitely book again!
The standard double rooms are too small. They could pass as closets. i kept hurting my leg on the edge of the bed trying to walk around to get to the toilet. the double bed is also short in length, intentionally because a standard size won't fit the room.

charming seaside stay
perfect location fresh produce friendly hosts
The location was perfect, right on the waterfront, and close to the train station. breakfast included fresh produce (i especially liked the greek yoghurt). derek and suzanne were friendly hosts. Suzanne even made a cake for another guest's birthday.
The standard double room was a bit small. I bumped my leg on the edge of the bed.
Service
9/10
derek provided helpful recommendations for local restaurants. they were attentive to our needs. arranging our arrival time was easy and advice on nearby parking was readily available.
Dining
10/10
the breakfast room was very clean and bright with a sea view (a great start to the day!). breakfast was freshly made to order, and the veggie option was delicious. a lovely touch was suzanne's homemade cake in the afternoon.

Small Rooms and Breakfast Issues
cramped room limited breakfast
The room felt quite cramped. I kept bumping my knee (it's not like I'm huge) against the bed frame. The layout was a bit awkward. Breakfast was another issue (a bit of a letdown, to be honest). The sausages seemed undercooked, and there wasn't much variety, so I probably won't bother with it next time.
