damp smellfresh plaster
So, I get to my room, and it smells like a wet dog had a party. There's this fresh plaster spot on the ceiling that sticks out. Plus, nobody asked how I liked it when I checked out, I couldn't believe it.

The reception staff was friendly and offered a generous room upgrade. My room included a fabulous bathroom with a roll-top bath. There was also a rain-forest shower. The location is central.
I was given a substandard room. It was an accessible room and I was told it was because I booked last minute. The room was dark and small. A massive crack was visible on the wall.

Fantastic Stay with Excellent Service

key locationhelpful staffquiet roomexcellent shower
I found the location to be perfect for accessing key attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful with all my requests. My room was very quiet, which I appreciated after a long day. The shower was also particularly good, providing ample hot water and great pressure.
The hotel had a lot of stairs. This wasn't an issue for me but could be for some guests.

The location proved excellent. It was close to lovely shops and restaurants. I appreciated the dog-friendly room on the ground floor (it was perfect for us).
I noticed bare plasterwork where the air conditioning unit had been. The carpet was also dirty. I found that the wardrobe doors did not fit well, so opening and closing them was difficult.
