Location
Set in a historic building in Monterosso Old Town, Piccolo Principe Affittacamere is a 4-star family-friendly guest house located 100 meters from Monterosso Old Town Beach and less than 1 km from Spiaggia di Fegina. The property offers allergy-free rooms and a quiet street view, with soundproofing in every unit. Air-conditioned, non-smoking rooms include flat-screen TVs, coffee machines, tea/coffee makers, and private bathrooms with bidets and free toiletries. Some accommodations, including the King Room with Spa Bath, include a spa bath. Free WiFi is available throughout Piccolo Principe Affittacamere, and the property provides daily housekeeping, laundry service, luggage storage, and private check-in/check-out. A minimarket is located at the guest house, and a barber/beauty shop is also on site. Nearby landmarks include Saint George's Castle, the Technical Naval Museum, and the Amedeo Lia Museum. The train station is about an 8-minute walk away, and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport is 100 km from the property. At Piccolo Principe Affittacamere, the Old Town setting puts cafes and shops just outside the door.
Pros
Guests receive a welcome gift of local pesto, and one review noted a bottle of wine left in the room for a birthday.
Rooms include Dyson hair dryers, Smeg kettles, Nespresso machines, and streaming services on the TV.
Beach towels are provided alongside fresh bath towels.
Hosts provide detailed check-in instructions and respond quickly by phone.
Cons
The central Old Town location can be noisy at night in summer, and church bells can be heard from early morning.
Guests must carry their own luggage up at least one flight of stairs to reach the room.
Must-do experiences
Savor the anchovies at L'Ancora for a local culinary delight.
Hike the Sentiero Azzurro for breathtaking coastal views.
Visit the church of San Giovanni Battista for stunning frescoes.
