recently refurbished gem
recent refurbishment close station lovely cafes
the recent hotel refurbishment greatly improved its appeal. i liked the victoria cross train station being super close. i also appreciated the lovely cafes in the neighborhood. the breakfast buffet was a good standard with a good variety.
the fire alarm went off multiple times , it was a false alarm. this was very disturbing especially one morning at 6am after i had a late flight. it is important the hotel addresses these issues.

the gym featured three treadmills and two stationary bikes, it allowed for good exercise. the pool area has about twenty loungers with a shaded section, it provided a relaxed environment. luggage storage was available after checkout.

comfortable room quick allocation friendly staff
the rooms were very comfortable. staff quickly allocated a different room when i requested a change because of sound from the lifts. the front desk people were friendly and kind.
the bath mat would be soaked after a shower due to its semi open shower design.

coffee shop quality food zoo visit high pillow dry sausage
the location suits a visit to a zoo. a coffee shop called venn is a short walk away (i liked its quality food and coffee).
The pillows were not good. They felt abnormally high. the chef seemingly did not know how to make chicken sausages. They were dry and hard to bite.

soft bed heavy accent
the bed was terrible, too soft. i kept rolling into the middle (it was annoying). also, i could barely understand the woman at the reception because of her accent. it was frustrating.
