Connemara Sands Hotel & Spa offers guests a memorable experience with its stunning location near a private beach, easily accessible for seaside enjoyment, and its proximity to attractions like the Bog Walk and Clifden, a mere 15-20 minute drive away. Many rave about the spacious and comfortable rooms, some featuring bay views, though a few guests have noted that some fittings feel somewhat utilitarian. The food was really good. I think the breakfast may be the best I have had in a hotel. The staff were nice. They are also very helpful. I got a Luxury Double Room Ocean Mountain Views, and the price felt reasonable.

Beachfront Bliss and Great Food

private beachrefreshing swimfresh pastriesnoise level
This hotel boasts its own private beach. I took full advantage and enjoyed a refreshing swim! The food really stood out. The restaurant was perfect for dinner. Breakfast was great (especially the fresh pastries!).
I found the noise level to be a problem. I could hear considerable noise coming from downstairs (it was distracting).
Dining

I enjoyed oysters during dinners (very fresh). Breakfast included great options. The restaurant setting was wonderful and contributed to a relaxing dining experience, particularly when trying local flavors.
Facilities

The sauna and jacuzzi experiences were available . The hotel provides direct access to the beach. Adirondack chairs are placed for sunset viewing. I found these elements relaxing.
