Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street enjoys a very central location, convenient for accessing Brisbane's main attractions, including a quick walk to the train station and Southbank. Guests appreciate the modern, clean rooms, and some have enjoyed views of the Brisbane River and Southbank. While the breakfast buffet may not appeal to all due to limited choices and communal spreads, the hotel's discounted parking deal with Uptown is frequently cited as a valuable perk.

Wonderful CBD Stay

bus stopcomfortable bedwater kettle
The location offered perfect access to many spots. A bus stop located right outside the front door, it made city travel simple. The room had adequate size with a comfortable bed.
The hotel lacked bottled water, I found this surprising. The water kettle had a noticeable leak and needed replacement. This detail should have been checked before my arrival.
Dining

Acceptable Stay With Some Issues

convenient locationbroken showerheadbathroom door
The location was convenient. Breakfast was acceptable.
The bathroom door handle locked me out. I was lucky I was not locked in the bathroom. The showerhead was broken. It was hanging down facing the floor. The staff should have fixed these before I arrived.

Convenient and Clean Stay

central locationclean hotelcomfortable bedwelcome wine
The location was great with easy access to shops. The hotel was clean and seemed to have everything needed for a city visit. The comfy bed offered a river view. I also received a welcome bottle of wine for our wedding anniversary.
The lobby had an outdated look, slightly off-putting on arrival.

The room offered ample space and necessary amenities for a brief city escape. It included fresh towels and toiletries. The provided tea and coffee facilities were convenient for morning refreshments.
Service

A stay with some issues

inadequate curtainsmissed service
I found a couple of things disappointing. the blackout curtains in the room did not fully cover the edges. Light came in. i called to have my room serviced, but upon my return, it was not done. i received only an apology and a few towels. it did not make up for the service i had paid for already.

My stay had a couple of hiccups. The blackout curtains in my 'Standard King Room' didn't quite reach the edges, which let in a lot of light (a real bother!). the shower head had trouble staying up. The water pressure was not great. I have stayed at Accor hotels before and have not had these issues.
