Solid Stay with Excellent Service
helpful staff quick service fine view clean pool
The staff was consistently helpful. I appreciated the quick service in all areas of the hotel. The location is near many local attractions. The hotel offered fine coastal views. I enjoyed the free indoor swimming pool. The pool was clean and well-kept. I found the outdoor area quite nice. There was a bar that provided an excellent panoramic view. My room had attractive furnishings. It had an adequate shower room. The room provided sufficient space for our needs. We found the provided books to be a nice touch. The breakfast offered a decent selection. I appreciated the well-cooked items and the clean dining area. The staff seemed to handle busy times effectively. The lounge area downstairs was spacious.
The tower air unit made little difference to the comfort of the room.

The staff demonstrated excellent knowledge of the local area and gave helpful directions when needed. All staff worked brilliantly, even when they were very busy with many guests arriving at the same time, which I thought was excellent.
Dining

The bar menu featured varied choices, and the food consistently looked good. I ordered a few beers. Glynn, the head barman, keeps the beer in good quality. The service was excellent without being too much trouble.
Facilities

The hotel's indoor swimming pool was a great feature. I liked that guests at this hotel can use the pool at the hotel next door. A sauna and a gym were available, and they were both in pretty good condition.

My room included a huge terrace. The terrace was lovely to sit out on. Furnishings were modern. The shower room was adequate. I had an attractive view.

dangling tv cables uncomfortable mattress
my room, the standard single room, it felt cramped. i think the tv cables just hanging across the dressing table look awful. i reminded me of the mattress was really old and wasn't comfortable at all. it made sleeping difficult, and that is not good when you're trying to relax.

excellent stay
nearby beach usb socket morning tranquility
the hotel was very close to the beach. the room had a usb wall socket (a nice touch!). i especially enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna in the morning. breakfast time was perfect and very quiet then.
the mirrors in the old lift were a bit dirty.

the breakfast had a wide variety of options to start the day. the staff was attentive to the coach parties (good service!). there were even tablecloths on the restaurant tables.

the hotel offers both a swimming pool and a sauna. the pool area was well kept (though i didn't use it myself). the hotel's proximity to the beach is a major plus point for easy access.

an adequate stay, i suppose
disinterested staff poor service
The location was alright. It was a short walk to the beach.
the food situation was odd. i tried to eat at the hotel, but they claimed the restaurant was "fully booked" with only 50 people (i'm not sure how that works). the staff seemed rather disinterested in helping, and it was like they just couldn't be bothered (which, honestly, i can relate to).
