Excellent Stay with Friendly Service

room upgrade clean room friendly service excellent breakfast
The check-in was efficient, and I received a pleasant suprise upgrade to a larger room. The room was clean and well-ventilated (a big plus for me). Lisa provided great service at breakfast. She was always friendly and smiling. The breakfast itself was well-cooked and had quality ingredients.
The car park was quite small. I was lucky to find street parking nearby.

A good Hotel, With a Couple of Drawbacks

great coffee coffee machine breakfast menu tired walls grubby doors unclean stairs
I really liked the coffee machine in my room , and I got 4 capsules ! The coffee was fantastic. I also appreciated they had both a coffee machine and a water boiler for tea. Breakfast was also great . I thought it would be a buffet , but they had a menu.
The public parts of the hotel seemed tired , and there were some grubby areas. The walls and doors really needed a good scrub or repaint. I noticed a plastic bread wrapper and a beer can on the steps . They were not cleared .

The room included good lighting. I found plenty of mirrors in the room. The hotel location is near the station and town centre. The hotel offers a free room upgrade, which I received. The breakfast was especially delicious. High-quality coffees were available.
The shower was a bit temperamental. I would have preferred a more consistent water temperature.
