Acceptable but Dated Stay

The free shuttle to the mall was a nice addition.
I received a free upgrade to a beautiful room, but it wasn't anything special. The room seemed dated, especially the shower (a major disappointment). The shower hose had a crack and I scratched myself on it.

just ok, some issues

the room was large enough.
I booked a room to celebrate my friend's birthday party, and i was told visitors couldn't come up to my room. they said i had to book another room for them if they wanted to visit. This made me spend more money. i was so disappointed because i work in hospitality and never heard about this. even in the morning when i checked out, they didn't listen to my explanation, and i will never come back.

the reception staff, especially nesrine, was excellent. she was very cute and helpful. she also completed the paperwork very quickly...
the room lacked proper soundproofing. i could hear noise from everywhere, including the next room and the lobby.

The room was spacious and clean. I really liked the complimentary shuttle service to the beach and the mall. The front desk staff was always ready to assist, which i appreciate (especially Rania).
The tv had few foreign channels, nothing special.

slow check-inmusty odor
the check-in process was slow and frustrating the staff seemed understaffed the lobby was crowded it took almost an hour to finally get to my room the room itself had a musty odor it was not overpowering but definitely noticeable i also found the ac unit to be quite noisy it kept cycling on and off throughout the night making it difficult to sleep

my room had a complimentary shuttle to the beach, i appreciated this service! i found the staff at reception helpful with directions. also the breakfast buffet offered a variety of choices each morning, so it suited my preferences. the proximity to the metro made getting around simple.
i found the noise from nearby establishments quite noticeable, it did disrupt my sleep a little.

the hotel is near a metro station! this made accessing different parts of the city very easy. several restaurants and shops are within walking distance, this added convenience. overall, it is in a useful place.
